Richland ready for public comment on new grand park plan

New Richland Park can be seen by the public Thursday during a commentary session (Town of Richland)
The new West Village Community Park in the Badger Mountain South area is moving forward, citizens can now attend a public session to offer feedback and more information.
New park planned for Badger area
The new park is ambitious and will be located in the Badger Mountain South area. It will include several multi-purpose sports fields, which will undoubtedly help the sports teams in the region.
Work on drafts and proposals for the park began last fall and winter, in November and December. Now the draft plan and maps and drawings are available showing what it will look like.
The public is invited to attend the session on Thursday evening
Citizens can view the plans and comment on them on Thursday at the Richland City Council Chambers, 625 Swift Boulevard, Richland, beginning at 6 p.m.
The large installation can be seen by clicking here.
The multi-use fields also include a softball field and space has been set aside in the design of a future fire hall-community centre. It also includes areas for basketball and the state’s new “official” sport, pickleball.
