The Best Putt-Putt Courses in Kentucky

It doesn’t take much strength for me to get to a miniature golf course. I love it. Always… even when I was TERRIBLE. Today? It got a lot better. But it was always fun.

A few years ago, returning from a vacation up north, we came across a really cool putt-putt course in northern Illinois called Volcano Falls Adventure Park. It was not a destination; we just saw it on a sign and decided to stop and have some fun. And, boy, did we ever.

PUTT-PUTT HOLIDAYS

It was then that I asked myself the question of drawing inspiration from Courtney Cox and David Arquette. They are now divorced, but on their honeymoon they traveled the country visiting theme parks. I love it, and I thought “Why not do that with putt-putt lessons?” And you wouldn’t even leave Kentucky to experience it. Maybe you could even do it this Saturday, National Miniature Golf Day.

MAGGIE’S JUNGLE GOLF

For starters, you can head to the Lake Kentucky area and check out Maggie’s Jungle Golf in Gilbertsville. I mean, why play miniature golf when you can play miniature golf AND race in the jungle AND hang out with camels?

MALIBU JACK’S

Malibu Jack’s in Louisville – there’s also one in Lexington – offers THEMED mini-golf. It’s tropical, which should come as no surprise with a name like that. And when you arrive you get a menu of activities. Yes, putt-putt isn’t just putt-putt anymore. Here’s what I mean.

CHEMIN CHRÉTIEN FARM & MINI-GOLF

Outside of Walther’s Golf & Fun in Evansville, I haven’t been to multifunctional amusement facilities like these to play mini golf, but I can see where it wouldn’t be difficult to plan a vacation around them. . And if you do, don’t leave Christian Way Farm & Mini-Golf in Hopkinsville on your list. If you like the idea of putt-putt on a farm with a soundtrack of braying donkeys and mooing cows behind you, this course is for you. The course is impressive and it looks like tractors have replaced golf carts

KENTUCKY SHORES

You may notice how close some of these putt-putt courses/entertainment complexes are to Land Between the Lakes. I can’t imagine it being an accident. And with a name like Kentucky Shores Family Fun Center, you might guess it’s close to the lakes, and you’d be right. In fact, it’s ALSO in Gilbertsville, not too far from Maggie’s Jungle Golf. But Kentucky Shores is different in many ways.

These are just a few highlights from a handy list of the best mini-golf courses in Kentucky provided by Trip Advisor and its user reviews. Hold on to these ideas; they might be useful.

If I say it myself, I love the idea of making a vacation or a STAYcation out of putt-putt lessons.

Have a good summer.

KENTUCKY HOSTS WORLD’S LARGEST KART TRACK

Kentucky is home to the world’s largest outdoor go-kart track and a huge arcade. It is a short drive from the Tri-State called Kart Kountry.

Establishment of Patti in the 1880s in Grand Rivers, Kentucky

Patti’s is an amazing place to visit all year round.
